Adnan Virk’s Replacement On WWE Raw Revealed

Adnan Virk officially joined the Monday Night Raw announce team following WrestleMania 37, but his run withe WWE didn’t last long as the company announced earlier this week that they had mutually parted ways with Virk.

Now F4Wonline.com is reporting that former UFC and Bellator commentator Jimmy Smith will be taking over Adnan Virk’s spot on Raw. Smith will be joined by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton, and Jimmy Smith will debut on the Monday, May 31 episode of Raw.

It’s also being reported that Jimmy Smith has been training with Michael Cole and WWE staff recently to prepare for a possible announcing role with the company. It’s being said that Smith has been heavily praised by Michael Cole for his versatility.

Smith previously worked in an analyst role for Bellator and UFC, but in WWE he is slated to be the lead play-by-play announcer. He previously appeared on WWE programming as part of the pre-show panel for NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

WWE has yet to make an official announcement. Stay tuned for updates.
