Ever since Mercedes Mone parted ways with WWE back in 2022 fans have been talking about the possibility of her making the jump to All Elite Wrestling. Last week Mercedes finally made her big debut with the company when she appeared at Big Business in Boston.
Adam Copeland knows a thing or two about making a big debut with AEW as he joined the company back in October of 2023 at the WrestleDream pay-per-view. Recently the Rated R Superstar spoke to Sports Illustrated about Mercedes Mone joining AEW while talking about what it means for her to be part of the roster.
”For her, AEW is a blank canvas with a brand new palette of paint. For me, it was the same. I saw Swerve, The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Claudio, FTR, all these names I’ve never crossed paths with.
“It’s the same with Mercedes–think of how much fun she’s going to have here. Think of all the new opponents. I think it’s super exciting. I love that AEW is here to bring a different product to the industry.”
Mercedes Mone is currently being advertised for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite in Toronto. Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage in an I Quit match for the TNT Championship is also being advertised for the show. Stay tuned for updates.
