Adam Cole has been one of the top stars in NXT for some time now, but recently he’s been making headlines for a very interesting reason.
The former NXT Champion participated in an interview with Pat McAfee last week, and the interview got very heated when McAfee started taking shots at Cole for his size, and crediting the Undisputed Era for all of Adam Cole’s success.
Adam Cole stood up, shoved a microphone to the ground, got in McAfee’s face, and then shoved a co-host before leaving the room.
The NXT star has since issued an apology which reads as follows:
“I’ve had the weekend to think about everything, and it’s still hard to put into words where to begin. First of all, to anyone that I offended, I apologize. I apologize because I represent a brand that commands respect. Not just because of what we do in the ring, but how we handle ourselves outside the ring. Even though he continued to push my buttons, I still should have kept my composure and acted like a professional. I’m embarrassed by my reaction, and I will make sure something like that never happens again. Thanks for the continued support everyone.”
