Adam Cole On If He’s Considering Signing With WWE

Adam Cole is one of the most popular stars in Ring of Honor and his contract with the company is reportedly set to expire in April. Considering the fact that April is only a few weeks away, Adam Cole has a big decision ahead of him as he could either sign a new contract with Ring of Honor, or he could choose to let his deal expire and see what other offers are presented to him.

The first ever three time Ring of Honor World Champion recently spoke to Sports Illustrated and he said that although he would like to go to WWE someday, it’s not on his mind right now.

“That question comes up all the time. To be honest, it’s a question I’ve dealt with, pretty consistently, since 2012. A lot of people have entertained the idea of me leaving, or going to WWE or me leaving for NXT, so that question comes up quite a bit for me. I answer truthfully, as the fact of the matter is I am still under contract with Ring of Honor. For me, I focus so much on what I have in front of me, as opposed to my future. I don’t know if that will hurt me or help me, but I can’t think six months, nine months, or a year ahead from now. The challenges I have set in front of me currently are big challenges, and those are being the Ring of Honor world champion and starting a career in New Japan Pro Wrestling. I have so much to focus on that I’m not even thinking about going to WWE. I’m completely focused on what I have in front of me right now. People ask, ‘Well, would you ever like to go?’ Yes, some day. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t want to have my own ‘WrestleMania moment.’ Yet the goals that I have and the task I have in front of me are keeping me fully focused on taking care of business in ROH and New Japan.”

There’s absolutely no denying that Adam Cole has worked hard to become one of ROH’s top names and there’s also no denying that the company has been good to him. He is the first ever three time ROH Champion after all.

Although Cole is a perfect fit for ROH, there are plenty of fans around the globe who would love to see him sign with WWE. Even if Cole doesn’t sign with WWE when his contract expires in April, there’s still plenty of time for him to make the jump to the company as he’s currently only 27 years old and likely has a long career ahead of him.
