Adam Cole Gets Heated, Shoves Producer And Walks Out Of Interview

Adam Cole is the longest reigning NXT Champion of all time, but unfortunately for Cole he lost the belt to Keith Lee in a Winner Takes All match at the NXT: Great American Bash.

Cole recently did an interview with Pat McAfee, and throughout the interview McAfee took shots at Cole for comparing himself to Shawn Michaels, and he also credited the Undisputed Era as the main reason for Adam Cole’s success.

At one point Pat McAfee took a shot at Adam Cole’s size, and Cole got heated, then pushed over a mic and started yelling at McAfee.

“F**k you Pat! Seriously, I’m sick of your s**t. I come all the way here to do your show, take time away from my family, to come to do your stupid f**king show, and you’re gonna continue to disrespect me. F**k you Pat! F**k you.”

Cole then shoved producer Ty Schmit and walked out of the studio.

Pat McAfee later commented on the incident when he shared a picture of a DM he sent to Adam Cole asking him to do the interview. He noted that hindsight is 20/20 when he posted the following caption:

“Hindsight is always 20/20 but I obviously regret this DM. I thought a convo between us could’ve been good content #ForTheShow but instead it ended in the most insane way imaginable. He broke a mic, a headset, pushed @tyschmit, & stormed out of our office. I’ve sat here for 20 minutes now trying to figure out what the hell just happened. I obviously never mean to disrespect anybody but, f**k that guy. There’s no way that’s how an ADULT human should act. I pride our show on being a positive, good time having, upbeat show & he will never be invited back

Ty Schmit also commented on the incident when he posted the following:

“Surprise surprise, @AdamColePro is a fucking scumbag. Acts like a child, breaks a mic, breaks a headset, sprays a litany of F bombs disrespecting @PatMcAfeeShow, shoves me, then storms out of the studio and leaves before anyone here can address it. Classic punk tendencies.”
