Mexico’s AAA promotion will begin taping their new series on the El Rey Network in late August from Los Angeles. The original date scheduled was August 24th but that may be pushed back a few days. The first season that airs this fall on El Rey is scheduled for eight episodes.
Former NJPW and ROH star Ricky Reyes has signed on for the series. Although no names are available at this time it’s also rumored that several former WWE stars are also involved with the company.
Some of the pitches and ideas for the series have been described as really “far out” compared to traditional wrestling TV shows.
Former WWE creative writer Chris “Big Dick Johnson” DeJoseph is working on the show as one of the producers.
