WWE has been trying to build the tag team division back up in recent weeks, and Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins are currently in possession of the tag team titles on the red brand.
With titles around their waists, Ryder & Hawkins have targets on their back, and it looks like business could be picking up for the Raw tag team division soon.
According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, former Raw Tag Team Champions Authors of Pain have been set to return for a few weeks now.
Akam has been cleared for in-ring competition, and it’s simply a matter of coming up with a program for the team.
The recently introduced Wild Card Rule is said to be one of the reasons why their return has been delayed, because the rule has tied up TV time.
Akam has been out of action since January due to a knee injury.
