It’s been a while since Jack Swagger left WWE, but he’s been making good use of his time by focusing on his MMA training.
Jake Hager, the man formerly known as Jack Swagger, finally made his MMA debut when he faced J.W. Kiser at Bellator 214 on Saturday night.
Before the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion made his entrance, an announcement played asking the people in attendance to rise, put their hands over their hearts and say “we the people.”
R-Truth then made his way to the stage and rapped as Jake Hager made his entrance and he looked calm and confident as he walked down the ramp.
The fight quickly went to the ground, and Jake Hager dominated. Hager repeatedly drilled stiff elbows into Kaiser’s forehead and then he applied a head and arm choke as Kaiser tapped out in the first round.
After the match Kaiser showed respect and hugged Hager. The former WWE Superstar put his hand over his heart and screamed “we the people” while celebrating.
Hager was interviewed after the commercial break and he was asked if he wanted to say anything to Vince McMahon. He said, “sometimes to convince Vince, you have to con Vince.”
