john cena

John Cena has spent most of 2018 focusing on his acting career, but he recently returned to the ring when he defeated Baron Corbin during the live event at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

When Cena made his return he was introduced by none other than Vince McMahon himself, and before McMahon revealed who Corbin’s opponent was going to be he referred to Cena as someone who has more Madison Square Garden moments than Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, and Steve Austin combined.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon’s plan going forward is to market Cena as “the greatest of all time.”

John Cena may no longer be a full-time WWE Superstar, but he had a very long run at the top, and he managed to tie Ric Flair’s record by winning the World Championship 16 times.

Even though Cena doesn’t wrestle in a WWE ring as frequently as he used to, his career isn’t over yet, so there’s no telling what accomplishments he might add to his resume before he hangs up his sneakers for good.

It’s been confirmed that the former WWE Champion will be making appearances on both Raw and SmackDown Live in the weeks to come, and he’s currently being advertised for the New Year’s Day episode of SmackDown.
