CM Punk lost his second UFC fight to Mike Jackson on Saturday night, and shortly after Punk lost the fight, Corey Graves took to Twitter and posted the following:

Graves then followed up with several tweets referencing his relationship with Punk, and Fightful reached out to the WWE commentator to get clarification on his statements.

Corey Graves was asked about claims that Punk gave his friends an ultimatum when he told them to leave WWE or lose him as a friend. Graves said that it was the first he had heard of those claims, but went on to say that Punk told him he had no interest in being friends with him, or anyone else in WWE, and that he hasn’t been in contact with Punk since 2016.

Graves also opened up and talked about his feelings on Punk disowning the wrestling business.

“What really set me off was this week when he essentially disowned the business that made him,” Graves said. “My only issue with him was that he turned off people that actually loved and supported him. Beyond “the business” and he never wanted anything to do with us…yet continued to present himself as this “Punk” hero.”

He also clarified that his comments about Punk had absolutely nothing to do with Punk’s trial with WWE. Dr. Chris Amann.

“Dude, this has ZERO to do with court, or testimony or any of the above. Nothing that I tweeted was corporate,” said Graves. “I’m simply hurt/pissed off that a guy that I looked like as a big brother-type has turned his back on me and everyone that loved and supported him only because of the name on my paycheck. I’m definitely not the only one. I won’t name names, but there is a large group of us to this day that inexplicably lost a solid friend because of where we work.”
