After weeks of hype the Greatest Royal Rumble finally took place from Saudi Arabia on Friday, and even though WWE presented a loaded card, women were noticeably absent from the event due to cultural restrictions.
Following the Greatest Royal Rumble, Corey Graves took to Instagram to remind fans in the United States that no matter how bad some people may think things are, they could always be worse. Graves posted the following:
“A drink to remember that no matter how bad WE think we have it, at least our women have rights and we all have freedom of expression. 🇺🇸 #ifyougetityougetit”
Triple H recently commented on women possibly being wrestling at WWE events in Saudi Arabia in the future, and he noted that it’s something that has been discussed.
Speaking of future WWE events in Saudi Arabia, according to Riyadh Report WWE will be holding another big event in Saudi Arabia later this year in November. As of this writing WWE has yet to confirm the report.
