The feud between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar really picked up this week on Raw, as Lesnar absolutely destroyed Roman, ahead of their big title match.
Roman Reigns will be challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship this year at WrestleMania 34, and if The Big Dog wins the title then he’s going to need a new challenger after the Show of Shows.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Samoa Joe is getting close to returning, and there are plans for Joe to feud with Roman Reigns for the title after WrestleMania 34.
Joe was backstage at Monday Night Raw this week, but as of right now it’s not known exactly when he’ll be returning to TV. If Joe doesn’t end up working as Braun Strowman’s tag team partner at WrestleMania, or in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, his return will likely come after WrestleMania.
Before Joe was pulled from TV, he was building up a feud with Roman Reigns, and he made it clear that he wanted a shot at the Intercontinental Title when Reigns was the champion.
If WWE does decide to go with a Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe feud after Mania, then it should be easy for the two stars to pick up where they left off.
