Business has picked up for the cruiserweight division on 205 Live recently. Former Impact Wrestling star Rockstar Spud joined the brand, and he’s now working as Drake Maverick, the General Manager of 205 Live.
The roster has also gained NXT stars such as Hideo Itami and Roderick Strong, and it was confirmed this week that yet another NXT star will be making his debut on 205 Live next week.
NXT star Buddy Murphy is getting called up to join the cruiserweight division next Tuesday, and he’ll get his chance to become the new Cruiserweight Champion, as he’s set to take on Ariya Daivari in the first round of the Cruiserweight Title tournament.
You can check out a promo video hyping up his debut below.

AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, and he usually likes to remind fans each and every week that SmackDown Live is the house that AJ Styles built. But AJ didn’t remind fans this week, because the focus was on the wrestlers who will challenge him for the title at Fastlane, rather than the man who holds the title.
However, AJ was in action after the show went off the air and he retained the championship after he defeated Jinder Mahal.
Becky Lynch and Naomi also teamed up to defeat Natalya and Carmella after SmackDown.
