CM Punk left WWE in 2014 and later announced that he had signed a contract to fight for UFC, but his UFC career didn’t get off to the best start. Punk was defeated by Mickey Gall in 2 minutes and 45 seconds at UFC 203 in September of 2016, and he hasn’t fought since.
But Punk has been training and it looks like there is movement in regards to his next fight.
MMAFghting.com reports that UFC officials are currently discussing the idea of having CM Punk face Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in Chicago on June 9, but the fight hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Jackson also has a record of 0-1 after suffering his first defeat at the hands of Mickey Gall.
UFC officially announced the UFC 225 event in Chicago last week, and CM Punk responded with the following:

Dana White was recently asked about Punk’s future with UFC during an interview, and he confirmed that he’ll be giving Punk at least one more fight.
“I like that guy. He’s a good dude,” Dana White said. “He wants one more. He wants to get another shot. I’m going to give it to him.”
Punk has been training hard since losing his first fight to Mickey Gall, but it’s clear that he needs a big win if he wants to be taken seriously in the MMA world.
