There has never been a team like Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. The ECW alumni have held top titles wherever they have gone through their career and it looks like all that hard work has landed them in the WWE Hall Of Fame’s class of 2018.
The last time we saw The Dudley Boyz was during Raw 25 when they appeared to put Heath Slater through a table because that’s what they do. Since their last run in WWE, the two might have slowed down a bit when it comes to working in the ring, but they’ve stayed busy.
D-Von took on a role in a backstage capacity with WWE and Bubba Ray has been making towns in the indie wrestling scene and doing shows for Ring Of Honor. Bubba Ray’s last match could have been his grand finale as he competed in a New York Street Fight at ROH Final Battle which saw him being busted open and losing to The Briscoe Brothers. His career status was previously in question due to apparently suffering a concussion but he finished up at least one more match with ROH.
Goldberg was previously announced to headline the big Hall Of Fame ceremony and with Bubba and D-Von’s name now being confirmed for the show it is certainly going to be a big class this year as WrestleMania weekend rolls through New Orleans.
You can probably expect more names to be announced in the weeks to come, but if you were debating on whether to buy a ticket to the WWE Hall Of Fame this year and you’ll be in the area, Goldberg and the Dudley Boyz are certainly outstanding selling points. We just have to wonder who will induct the Dudley Boyz since Paul Heyman has been rumored to be in line to do the honors for Goldberg.
