The old saying rings true once again as “you never know what can happen in WWE.” Nobody really expected the kind of chaos on the day after Survivor Series like Paige brought. Some were expecting to see Paige’s return, but few thought she’s be bringing friends with her.
The next night on SmackDown Live saw a new group of women debut and it was a pretty stellar sight. They made their presence known by bombarding the SmackDown Women’s Championship match and creating quite a stir in the process.
Since it’s so early in both of these promising stories it’s easy to speculate but Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com said he was told something rather interesting. Apparently, this story might have a connective tissue across WWE brands.
It was rather interesting when Bryan Alvarez brought up one idea he heard on the Bryan and Vinny Show.
“I don’t know if this is going to happen but I heard that one of the ideas they had was that it would come out that Paige was behind both invasions. How they would do that, I have no idea because there’s a Raw brand and a Smackdown brand [and] it doesn’t make any sense if they’re not doing the interbrand stuff except during Survivor Series. It would make sense for [the angle] to be exactly the same if Paige were behind it.”
Whether WWE is planning something epic to form a bridge between the two brands is yet to be seen. It would be oddly close to Survivor Series where that was the entire theme of the show because it “only happens one time a year.”
But never put it past WWE in regards to what they’re willing to do in order to turn some heads. This story has certainly piqued our curiosity which is getting harder to do.
