Opening Segment
Shane McMahon came out and he looked happy enough to be there after Survivor Series. Shane said they just came short at Survivor Series but SmackDown Live proved that even in defeat they will be considered “the show” in WWE.
After talking about proud he was of the SmackDown roster Shane except for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. He asked KO and Sami to come out and they received a lukewarm reaction, to say the least. It was a lot of fun to watch Sami Zayn dance his way to the ring to KO’s music.
KO said unlike The New Day they would have beaten The Shield and they wouldn’t have won the Men’s Elimination match, and beat Brock Lesnar. Sami said: “yup”, “double yup”, and “triple yup” after each point Kevin made.
Shane told them to shut their mouths and then he started to fire them. Owens said they couldn’t do that because they’re too valuable to SmackDown Live. Sami and Kevin said they were the top Superstars and Shane can’t fire them.
McMahon said the entire SD locker room hates them. They’re self-absorbed, crazy, and megalomaniacs. Then just before Shane McMahon could say, “you’re fired” Daniel Bryan’s music hit and Bryan came out to save their jobs.
Bryan said to put your personal vendettas to the side. KO and Sami started putting Daniel Bryan over. Then Daniel Bryan booked KO and Zayn against The New Day. Daniel made the match a lumberjack match. Apparently, everyone is really mad at the two greatest pro wrestlers on SmackDown Live (in their opinion).
Shelton Benjamin vs Jimmy Uso
Uce got a half grill in his teeth which he had to have put in yesterday because he didn’t have golden teeth at Survivor Series. Uce got kicked off the top turnbuckle by Shelty and he took a topple to the floor after a little change to start the match.
Once the match made it back to the ring Shelton Benjamin kept control. Jimmy and Shelton Benjamin traded shots and Uce hit a Samoan Drop.
Gabel took Jey out on the outside and distracted Jimmy on the inside. Benjamin tried to roll Uce up for a pin but ended up catching a Superkick for a two count. Jimmy scaled the turnbuckle to the top and missed a dive. Then Shelton Benjamin hit the Pay Dirt for the win.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin via pinfall
It looks like Shely and Gable are going for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles
Backstage Segment
KO and Sami were talking to Baron Corbin asking him to be their friends. He asked what was in it for him and then told them to find someone a little bit more weak minded. Then they found Bobby Roode backstage who was wearing his blue robe instead of a t-shirt.
KO told Roode he could be different and protect them. Roode said they ruined the match at Survivor Series and told them he owed them both a receipt.
A promo for The Bludgeon Brothers aired and it looks like that’s actually happening tonight!
Naomi was backstage and suddenly Ruby Riot walked up like she’s supposed to be there and it’s no big thing she’s debuting. Then suddenly Liv Morgal is there and so is Sarah Morgan. Now it’s a party. And they beat down Naomi.
Then they beat up Becky Lynch. In fact, they did such a great job they put Becky Lynch in a door and slammed it on her. Nice.
Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon said it was a great idea to bring up the NXT talent. Okay. Then Shane said he was leaving and so he grabbed his bag and left
Hype Bros vs Bludegon Brothers
The Bludgeon Brothers’ entrance was neat and they had their hammers! They also had that skin-tight red ring attire.
The Bludgeon Brothers… well, they bludgeoned everyone in the ring. They double-teamed Mojo in the ring with a nice big boot combination. Then they hit Mojo with a very nice looking double team crucifix slam move and that was all she wrote.

Natalya was interviewed backstage and surprise, she thinks she’s going to win tonight. Fun!
AJ Styles Speaks
He said he wishes he could be celebrating after Survivor Series but Brock Lesnar is every bit of the beast we thought he was.
AJ said he wasn’t the one limping to the back and if people want to call him Rocky then Lesnar needs to realize that in the second Rocky movie, he wins.
Then he turned his attention to The Modern Day Maharaja. Styles took off his vest and shirt and laid down his title. But Mahal showed up on the screen and cut a promo in front of an Indian flag.
AJ said Mahal seems well-rested because he didn’t do anything at Survivor Series. Mahal said he will fight AJ on his time so he chooses when he wants his rematch and it will go down at Clash Of Champions.
Then the Singh Brothers jumped AJ but they got laid out and one of them took a Styles Clash as Jinder Mahal watched awkwardly from the monitor.
Backstage Segment
KO and Zayn were backstage looking for some allies. Then they came across Aiden English who was singing to Rusev. Neat.
KO and SZ said they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so they want to celebrate Rusev Day. Zayn said Rusev Day is better than New Day and New Day thinks that Aiden is a terrible singer. Then they left.
Charlotte Flair vs Natalya
Nattie took it to Charlotte right off the bat. She beat her around the ring and tossed her into the barricade. Once she got Flair back in the ring Charlotte turned it around for a bit and they jockeyed for position for a bit.
Flair hit a nice suplex into the corner and Nattie just stayed there until Flair pulled her out but Nattie slapped her and knocked her down. Flair nailed a kick and a sunset flip but Nattie came back with a basement dropkick to the face.
They fought in the corner where Charlotte gained the upperhand with some punches but Charlotte was caught in a powerbomb for a close two count.
Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter until Charlotte made it to the ropes. Flair speared Nattie through the ropes and suddenly Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan jumped Nattie and beat her around the outside of the ring. They looked pretty mean. Suddenly they turned their attention to Charlotte and the stalked around the ring looking at Flair.
But once they got in the ring, Charlotte tried to fight them off and did land some kicks… but the new girls ganged up on her. Sarah Logan hit her with a stiff boot as Liv Morgan grabbed Charlotte and drove her face first into her knees. Ruby Riot picked Charlotte up and nailed a kick to the side of The Nature Girl’s head.
The three new girls stood over the SmackDown Women’s Champion in victory with their arms raised.
Daniel Bryan was asked what his reaction is to the ending of the match and he said “well, that’s an interesting situation… no comment.”
Then Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn walked up and said: “if you do what I think you’re going to do after the match firing us will be the biggest mistake you’ll ever make.”
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs The New Day (Handicap Match)
These two teams fought with the idea that New Day can do whatever they want and KO and Sami are just going to get murdered by the lumberjacks if they go outside.
Sami tried to run away but everyone hoisted him up and tossed him back in the ring. But they never pulled them off the apron while they were waiting for a tag.
Kevin Owens got the tag and The New Day pulled off their Unicorn Stampede. But Owens would soon turn it around on Kingston and Sami got the tag to continue the advantage.
Kevin got the tag and Kofi Kingston took, even more, damage while KO taunted him. Kofi brought his knees up when KO was going for a running senton and Big E got the tag. Sami got tagged in as well and Big E took him to Belly-To-Belly Suplex City.
Big E hit a nice splash and made a tag to Kofi who hit a high flying cross body block. Kofi launched Sami Zayn into the lumberjacks. Baron Corbin accidentally hit Bobby Roode and a brawl broke out with all of the lumberjacks. They spilled through the ring and Sami Zayn snuck up and got a roll-up pinfall.
KO and Sami tried to leave and Rusev attacked Big E who was keeping them from leaving. KO escaped but Sami Zayn was grabbed by Xavier. As The New Day circled Zayn in the ring he said, “it doesn’t have to be like this, it wasn’t about you.”
Then they attacked Zayn. Kofi hit a Trouble In Paradise and they hit the Midnight Hour. Kevin Owens was backstage as he walked up to Daniel Bryan and said he can’t fire them. He got down on his knees and Daniel Bryan said he wasn’t going to fire him.
Bryan said he needs Kevin Owens here next week because he has a match against Randy Orton. KO thanked him and that was it.
