Lucha Underground is a very unique show, and it has received a lot of praise for bringing something new and different to the world of professional wrestling. So far there have been 3 seasons of Lucha Underground, but the possibility of a 4th season for the show has been put in doubt over the last few months.

But all of the doubt regarding the future of Lucha Underground has been washed away, because the company confirmed today that a 4th season will be filmed. At this point in time it’s not known who will be returning for season 4, but Johnny Mundo has been confirmed for the new season as he is featured in the announcement video.
In the video Johnny Mundo recaps his accomplishments from the first 3 seasons of the show and then says that in season 4 he will take back what’s his. You can check out the announcement video below.
Right now there’s no word on when production for the new season will kick off, but according to the video season 4 will premiere on El Rey Network in 2018.
