Sunday was an interesting day for WWE, as the main roster got a little bit smaller. The company announced that Emma, Summer Rae and Darren Young have all been released, and the announcement came as a bit of a shock to the wrestling community.

Emma recently took to Twitter to let the world know that she’s heartbroken, and Darren Young has yet to comment on his release as of this writing. It seems that Summer Rae is trying to turn a negative into a positive as she posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Not giving up on Summer just yet…”
Summer Rae was signed to a WWE developmental contract in 2011, and she later went on to become a ring announcer, and then an in-ring competitor in NXT. In 2013 she made her debut on the main roster as Fandango’s dance partner and eventually became a wrestler.
Summer Rae was drafted to Monday Night Raw last summer, but she never ended up appearing on the show due to the fact that she was out of action dealing with an injury. It was reported a few months ago that Summer Rae had been cleared, but unfortunately we never got to see her return.
Well what else is new…
