Survivor Series will be a split brand pay-per-view this year and it looks like WWE is going to be gearing up for some big competition. Brock Lesnar is expected to accept Jinder Mahal’s challenge on Raw, but PW Insider reports there are two other big matches on the way.
The Miz has been a great Intercontinental Champion, but now it looks like he is going to put his ring savviness to the test in a big way because he is slated to square off against The Lone Wolf Baron Corbin. This match will pit the WWE IC Champ against the WWE US Champion which will fall in line with the theme. It’s an interesting match because I just wonder who will be playing the babyface in this match.
But it doesn’t stop there because WWE is going to keep pitting their Champions against each other. SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, The Usos are set to face Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in another cross-promotional match.
These battles for brand supremacy will likely result in a great pay-per-view. The Survivor Series has often been the Big Four pay-per-view featuring some of the most creative matchups of the year. It looks like 2017 will be no different.
On the downside, there probably won’t be any actual championship matches. But we will get to see which title means more to WWE, or at least which title run is more important.
In a match that won’t have any titles involved but it will still be plenty epic, Braun Strowman is going to likely face off against Kane.
Survivor Series has to really deliver in a big way because it is going to occur the night after NXT TakeOver: WarGames and you know how much the NXT roster loves to bring it during their TakeOver specials.
Hopefully, each champion will be able to leave Survivor Series looking strong but that might be an impossible request for WWE to deliver. One thing’s for sure, Survivor Series is going to be full of unexpected moments because there’s no telling which way they could go with this kind of card.
