For many years now John Cena has been the face of the WWE, and he’s beaten some of the top stars in the industry. But Cena has different priorities now, and the 16 time WWE World Champion only has a limited amount of time he can spend in a WWE ring, because he’s pursuing other opportunities in Hollywood.

John Cena made his return to Monday Night Raw the night after SummerSlam, and he immediately called out Roman Reigns. Cena and Reigns have been going back and forth on the microphone for weeks, and they’ve developed a very personal rivalry.
Sunday night at No Mercy, John Cena and Roman Reign finally faced off.
The match got off to a bit of an awkward start, as John Cena left the ring and walked up the ramp. Roman Reigns then attacked John Cena from behind, and Cena got back in the ring.
Roman Reigns then just beat Cena up for a while inside and outside of the ring, and Cena didn’t hit any offense. Cena hit a few punches here and there, but Roman quickly fired back and dominated, and Cena legit just got his ass beat for the first half of the match.
Eventually Cena managed to get some offense in, and he hit Roman with an Attitude Adjustment, but Roman kicked out.
Later on in the match Cena tried for an Attitude Adjustment from the second rope, and he managed to hit it but Reigns kicked out. The crowd started to chant, “one more time” as Roman tried to get to his feet. Cena winked at the crowd and then cleared off two announce tables.
Cena put Reigns in the AA position, but Roman countered and speared Cena through a table. The crowd chanted, “you still suck.”
They both ended up back in the ring where John Cena hit two Attitude Adjustments in a row, and Roman still managed to kick out.
Cena looked confused, then they both stood up and Reigns hit Cena with a Superman Punch then followed up with a spear for the win.
After the match John Cena raised Roman Reigns’ arm in victory and they showed mutual respect for each other. Cena said something to Reigns and then Roman left the ring.
Cena sat in the corner then made his way to the middle of the ring where he sat on his knees. He then stood and bowed to the crowd.
As Cena left the ring the fans chanted “thank you Cena” then he made his way up the ramp then turned to the crowd one last time before leaving.
The commentators stayed quiet and it seemed that Cena was trying to tease that he’s saying goodbye for now.
