It’s been an interesting couple of weeks for The New Day, that’s for sure. Xavier Woods recently suffered an injury that put him on the sidelines, but hopefully he’ll be returning to action soon. Luckily The New Day are a trio, so when one member goes down they can still operate as a tag team, and Big E and Kofi Kingston managed to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Titles when they challenged The Usos recently on SmackDown Live.

Unfortunately it looked like their tag team title reign could have been in jeopardy after Kofi Kingston suffered an injury while wrestling in Hawaii. Fans in attendance reported that Kofi slipped off the top rope during a match with Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler, and after he fell he limped through the rest of the match and had to be helped to the back.
F4Wonline.com is reporting that everything seems to be alright with Kofi, and he was cleared to work the rest of the weekend.
This is great news for Kofi, as right now would be a terrible time for him to be injured as he already missed some time in the ring this year when he suffered an ankle injury a few months ago that ended up delaying The New Day’s move to SmackDown.
