Sexy Star has been a very hot topic as of late following an incident that took place at AAA Triplemania XXV on August 26. Star defended her AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Lady Shani, Ayako Hamada and GFW star Rosemary, but the match has been surrounded by controversy.
At the end of the match Sexy Star locked in an armbar submission on Rosemary, and she made her tap out. However, she didn’t release the hold after Rosemary tapped, and it was later reported that Rosemary suffered an injury. Rosemary released her own statement condemning Sexy Star and she claimed that the incident was not a work and she was legitimately hurt during the match.
Sexy Star has since released her own statement explaining her side of the story, but things only seem to be getting worse for Star.
AAA has announced that Star has been stripped of the Reina de Reinas Championship when the promotion posted the following on Twitter:
“LAST MINUTE! The #ReinaDeReinas championship has been declared vacant.”
