This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is set to take place from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX, and it will focus on the fallout from the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view.
At Great Balls of Fire, Roman Reigns battled Braun Strowman in an Ambulance Match, but Roman was unable to secure a victory after Braun locked him inside the ambulance. However, Roman got the last laugh when he threw Braun into the back of the ambulance and then backed it up into a semi-truck.
Likewise, Samoa Joe challenged Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event, and even though he pushed Brock to the limit, Lesnar was able to retain the title after he put Joe away with the F5.
PWInsider is reporting that current plans call for tonight’s episode of Raw to set up a match between Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns for next week’s show. The winner will reportedly go on to SummerSlam to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title.
As far as matches go for tonight, Seth Rollins will be facing off against Bray Wyatt yet again in a rematch from the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view.
The Miz is also expected to do some sort of awards segment on Miz TV.
Stars being advertised for this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw include Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Intercontinental Champion The Miz and more.
WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight’s show:
- Does Reigns deserve a Universal Championship Match?
- It looks to be the Summer of The Beast
- How will accounts be settled following Bank robbery?
- Who will step up to challenge the Iron Men?
