Last Summer Alexa Bliss was called up to the main roster as part of the WWE draft, and she joined the SmackDown Live brand. It didn’t take long at all for Bliss to rise through the ranks of the women’s division on Tuesday nights, and she quickly became the SmackDown Live Women’s Champion
Now Alexa Bliss is the current Raw Women’s Champion, and she recently did an in character interview with WWE.com where she talked about her success on the main roster. Alexa was asked if she felt slighted because she wasn’t drafted earlier last summer, and she says that the snub only motivated her to work harder.
“I was definitely surprised I got drafted. But then, after thinking about it, I started wondering why I was drafted so late. That’s when I decided I was going to take every opportunity and run with it. I went, “OK, you want to draft me late? Watch me become the biggest star in this business.”
Alexa Bliss has accomplished a lot in a short amount of time, and she’s currently the face of the women’s division on Monday Night Raw. She’s also the first woman to ever hold the Raw Women’s Championship and the SmackDown Women’s Championship, but Alexa still has some big goals she wants to accomplish.
“I want to be the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to make sure that happens.”
