It’s safe to say AJ Styles has had a great year, which must mean that WWE officials think highly of him, but the one person you really need to impress in WWE is Vince McMahon himself. During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, AJ Styles talked about his relationship with Vince, and he says that he feels he’s proving himself to the boss.
“I think once you’ve proven yourself to Vince McMahon that you’re not some guy that only cares about himself, and only wants to get himself over at the expense of stabbing someone in the back that — ‘this isn’t about me, this is about us. Let’s find a way to make WWE bigger, and better, and more popular, and more exciting.’ When he sees that in someone, when he sees that passion in someone, every day you get a little more trust with Vince McMahon, and I want that, he’s my boss. I can go in there anytime and talk to him if need be. There’s a relationship there that I enjoy, that I want to get stronger, and day in and day out I want to prove to him that I care about ‘us’ rather than ‘me.’ And I think he appreciates that.”
It’s clear that AJ Styles has no problem doing whatever is asked of him whether it’s carrying the WWE Championship, feuding with Shane McMahon, or challenging for the US Title, Styles always gives it his all.
