When SmackDown went Live last year they brought back some really great talents. One of those acts was a very popular throwback tag team most newer fans might not know about. But, when The Headbangers came out long time fans marked out hardcore.

Headbanger Mosh recently spoke on the “2 Man Power Trip” podcast and covered a wide array of topics. Among those topics covered was The Headbangers’ return to WWE television last year. Of course, they lost to Heath Slater and Rhyno in the opening round of the SmackDown Tag Team Championship tournament and we haven’t seen them on WWE TV since. But one thing that was certainly established was that fans remembered Most and Thrasher.

Mosh said it was a very special time for him personally because it gave his son a chance to see his dad perform in a WWE ring. He had previously only seen his father perform on the indie circuit.

Mosh said there were no plans for The Headbangers to make a WWE return, but of course, the door is wide open in camp Headbanger (we imagine “Camp Headbanger” would have very interesting fireside sing-alongs). If WWE calls and wants Mosh and Thrasher to make a return to the company it would be awesome. But, don’t count on The Headbangers being a part of the upcoming superstar shake-up because there isn’t anything on the table right now. But you can never say never in WWE.

Mosh said there haven’t been any talks so far for a permanent arrangement to come back to WWE. But, he has been corresponding with Triple H via email. During one of those emails, Triple H told Mosh there is always the possibility of The Headbangers coming into NXT down the road.

So, you can never rule out another run from the former WWF Tag Team Champions. Besides, how amazing would it be to see The Headbangers become a lasting fixture in the SmackDown tag team landscape? The blue brand needs more established tag teams after all.
