Roman Reigns is without a doubt one of the most polarizing figures in WWE today. Half the fans love to cheer him, and half the fans love to boo him, but one way or another, he always gets a reaction.
The former 3 time WWE Champion is going up against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, and it’s safe to say that this will be the biggest match of Roman’s career. Roman recently spoke to TMZ and he praised The Undertaker for being “the greatest WrestleMania performer of all time.”
“You’re talking to me like I don’t know this already, like we’re having a study session. He’s the greatest WrestleMania performer of all time. If I don’t bring my A-game, if I don’t bring that big fight, I’m not gonna come out victorious. For me it’s go in there and do what I do every single night, bust ass, kick ass and take it home.”
The Undertaker recently turned 52 years old, and there are quite a few fans who feel that it’s time for The Deadman to retire. However, Roman Reigns thinks age is just a number when it comes to The Undertaker.
“You’re talking age with The Undertaker? That don’t make sense. C’mon man, he could be 80 and still go I think. What he’s done and how long he’s done it for, I think he could do anything. So I don’t even worry about age or anything like that.”
Roman was also asked about how much he can lift, and after sharing his answers, he declared that his strategy at WrestleMania is going to be to hit The Undertaker with as many Superman punches and spears as he can.
“The last max I ever did on bench was 440, my best power clean, 365, squat 545. Just some good numbers that I’ve had in the past and I can still push around. But when it comes down to it, Undertaker’s not a barbell. I’m not gonna be able to power clean him or deadlift him. I’m going to have to Superman punch and spear the hell out of him.”
Out of all the matches on the WrestleMania card, this seems to be the match that fans are talking about the most. With rumors circulating claiming that his WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns could be The Undertaker’s last, the bout is also the most intriguing contest on the card.
Regardless of who has their hand raised after the bell rings on April 2nd, you can expect a very loud reaction for both men from the WrestleMania crowd.
