goldberg

Goldberg walked down the hallway snorting and yawning in his usual way while wearing Kevin Owens’ title around his waist like a trophy he bought and didn’t earn. Once he made it to the ring and the piped in chants stopped playing he received a mixed reaction from the Chicago crowd at best. Goldberg did the only thing he could to save himself as he said, “This title belongs to you.”

Although it still didn’t work because he received quite a bit of boos and very loud CM Punk chants. “Yeah, I hear that!” Goldberg said as Paul Heyman came out to save the segment. Vince was probably like, “Yeah, don’t let them do that. It’s bad enough Rocky called him from my ring. Get out there Paul!”

Paul Heyman said he wasn’t going to go down and congratulate Goldberg because he didn’t come alone. As he introduced Brock Lesnar, he received the biggest babyface pop of the night by far.

Brock came down and got nose-to-nose with Goldberg as Paul Heyman formally introduced them to each other. That was funny.

Heyman put forth a couple spoilers for WrestleMania as he said there would be a new reigning, defending Universal Champion and his name would be Brock Lesnar.

Brock then took the chance to pick Goldberg up while he was still holding his new title and delivered a devastating F5 to the former face of WCW. Goldberg didn’t get up. He obviously proved to us all why he hasn’t taken bump #1 during his last three matches during this run with WWE. The Beast Incarnate just proved that Goldberg doesn’t just have cracks in his armor, he barely has any armor left at all.

WrestleMania is going to be fun.
