The Suicide character has a long history with TNA, sorry, Impact Wrestling. It’s going to take a while to get used to that.
Suicide first appeared as a fictional character in the “TNA Impact” video game, and the company later decided to bring him to life. In December of 2008, Suicide made his debut and the character was originally portrayed by former TNA star Frankie Kazarian.
Of course Frankie Kazarian wasn’t the only wrestler to put on the Suicide suit, as Christopher Daniels and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins also played the character. Austin Aries even stole the suit at one point and used it to win the X-Division Championship.
The company later made the decision during TJ’s run to change character’s name from Suicide to Manik, but the character later faded into obscurity when TJ Perkins was released in January of 2016.
During the most recent set of Impact Tapings, Suicide made his return to the Impact Zone and people have been wondering who’s wearing the mask this time around.
Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Caleb Konley is now the wrestler who is working as Suicide. Conley signed with Impact Wrestling back in April of 2016 but he hasn’t been used very much.
Although the Suicide character was put on the back burner toward the end of TJ Perkins’ run with Impact Wrestling, the company has a history of featuring Suicide as a top star in the X-Division, so it looks like this could potentially work out well for Caleb Konley.
