The general consensus among WWE fans as of late is that SmackDown Live has been better than Monday Night Raw. SmackDown recently beat Raw in the ratings and people on social media have been talking about the difference in quality between the two shows. Lana even took to Twitter last night to praise SmackDown and she suggested that General Manager Mick Foley make her an associate GM in an attempt to make Raw better.

Mick Foley responded to Lana with a somewhat cryptic tweet noting that the Raw General Manager position may be up for grabs soon.

The Monday Night Raw General manager recently revealed that he is not under contract with WWE and he’s simply working with the company on a handshake deal. Foley told fans via Facebook that he is in need of a hip operation, but doesn’t have health insurance and that’s when he commented on his WWE status.
“For those wondering why the general manager of Raw needs to procure his own health insurance: well, I’m on a handshake deal. I do the job as long as I enjoy it and feel like I am making a difference, and I do it as long as WWE is happy with me and thinks I’m the best person for the role. No contract involved at all, except for the legends deal, which is strictly about merchandise.”
Given that Mick Foley confirmed he needs a hip operation, it makes sense that he would also be off the road for a while as he recovers, which would create an opening on Monday Night Raw.
If Mick Foley does step away from the Raw General Manager position, who would you like to see take over while he’s gone? Sound off in the comments below.
eric bischoff
That would be awesome. Bischoff was a great GM and that could be the shot in the arm that Raw needs.
Corporate Kane needs to make a permanent comeback
Ya Eric Bishoff would be really great cause he did really great things with Raw. Or even bring back another Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin hell he was one of the best GM’S cause he doesn’t put up with any Bullshit.
time to bring vickie guerrero out of retirement
Hulk Hogan
Brett Favre
