A few years ago Batista made his return to WWE, and he joined the company for the road to WrestleMania 30. The former World Champion played a big role in WWE’s plans that year, as he won the Royal Rumble, and earned the right to challenge Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania.
WWE booked the returning star to be a monster babyface, but the fans wanted Daniel Bryan to be the top guy, and they made it well known on the road to WrestleMania 30. Bryan was left out of the Royal Rumble, but defeated Triple H in a singles match at WrestleMania, and he advanced to the main event where he would later make Batista tap out to win the match.
Batista hung around for a few more matches with WWE before making his way back to Hollywood, and he didn’t appear at WrestleMania 31, or WrestleMania 32.
As of right now it doesn’t look like there are any plans for him to make an appearance at WrestleMania 33, but one fan on Twitter caught Batista’s attention when he suggested possible match against The Rock with either Triple H or Vin Diesel as the special guest referee.

Never one to be shy, Batista responded to the idea by saying that it has limberger levels of cheesiness attached to it.
The cheese factor in that would be way to strong! Along the lines of Limberger. Awful scent of sulphur and Fast n Furious! https://t.co/iOsFh3sZN9

It doesn’t look like Batista is a fan of the idea, and at this point it remains to be seen when or if Batista will step back into a WWE ring.
Although fans probably won’t be seeing Batista back in the ring anytime soon, they can still catch him on the big screen as 2017 is set to be a busy year for Batista.
The former WWE World Champion will be reprising his role as Drax in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and he’s also attached to “Kickboxer: Retaliation” and “Blade Runner 2049.”
Speaking of Drax, Batista was recently given a gift from a local Tampa artist who carved a wooden portrait of Drax and you can check it out below.
Big Dave is too big a Hollywood movie star to go back to the WWE, they need him more than he needs them and they don’t even need him lol.
