survivor series

Hopefully you’re excited for Survivor Series, because if you plan on watching the show you’ll be watching it for four hours this year. WWE has changed the listing on WWE.com to show that the Survivor Series pay-per-view will start at 7pm as opposed to the normal 8pm start time. The Ticketmaster listing also notes that the event start time has been pushed back from 7:30pm to 6:30pm.

The big draw on the Survivor Series card is Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg. WWE recently confirmed that match for the pay-per-view, and it will be Goldberg’s first match since the last time he faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 in 2004.

SmackDown has also challenged Raw to three traditional Survivor Series matches, and Raw has accepted the challenge. The three matches will see the best male competitors, female competitors, and tag teams from both brands face off against each other.

On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Nikki Bella defeated Natalya to become the captain of the SmackDown women’s team.

Survivor Series week will be a big week for both WWE and the NXT brand. On Saturday November 19, NXT Takeover: Toronto will air live on the WWE Network, and Shinsuke Nakamura will be defending his NXT Championship against Samoa Joe. The finals of the second annual Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will also take place at the event.

WWE also recently announced that a special taping of NXT will be held before the SmackDown tapings in Ottawa on November 22.
