Current WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz recently spoke with Channel Guide Magazine about being on the road with his wife Maryse, Total Divas and more. You can check out the full interview here along with some highlights below.
Being on the road with Maryse: “She is annoyed with me going, ‘Hey now!’ every five seconds. It’s amazing for me to have her and be around her. It’s one thing to FaceTime and to call each other on the phone. But to have her, to hold her, to touch her, to kiss her; there is nothing better to have that on the road.”
If Maryse will wrestle again: “The No. 1 question she is always asked is when can we see her back in the ring. Time will tell. We will see what happens. She is doing so much right now. She just had a movie come out on SyFy called Isle of the Dead trending worldwide. It was really well-received. Then we have the video game, with ‘WWE 2K17’ coming out in October. There is so much happening right now. We’ll see what happens.”
Being a WWE veteran: “Miz — a veteran in WWE? Did you think that would happen? I didn’t. I almost believed everyone saying I’d be gone in three months. I said, ‘You know what? I’m going to try my hardest and do whatever I possibly can to stay here.’ And here I am 10 years later, trying to bring these young guys up and show them the ropes.”
