PWInsider is reporting that some people in WWE were surprised that Mojo Rawley was called up to the main roster in the WWE Draft, because some in NXT thought that No Way Jose would get called up. No word on if there are plans to do it, but now that Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder are on the same brand it’s possible that they could team up and work as The Hype Bros. on the main roster.
Ahead of the draft WWE announced that six NXT stars would be drafted to the main roster. Everyone expected Finn Balor to be drafted and he was drafted to Raw as the fifth overall draft pick.
Finn Balor commented on his debut saying that it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to NXT, but everyone who comes to NXT wants to make it to the main roster. He said that he’s going to show everyone why he should have been the number 1 draft pick this year.
