Earlier this week on Raw WWE announced that Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent would be announced this week on SmackDown.
Aftermath TV on SportsNet in Canada jumped the gun by announcing on Wednesday that Brock Lesnar will be facing Randy Orton at SummerSlam, and now WWE has confirmed it.
During Thursday night’s episode of SmackDown WWE aired a special video package which featured Scott Stanford, Corey Graves and Booker T announcing the highly anticipated match.
Scott Stanford hyped up the match saying that it’s 14 years in the making. Corey Graves then talked about Orton and Lesnar’s history in OVW and how they’ve both had legendary careers. You can check out the official announcement video below.
