It’s been a crazy couple of months for AJ Styles. Back in January he faced Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestle Kingdom 10 in Japan, then he debuted at the WWE Royal Rumble only weeks later. Styles made his WrestleMania debut on Sunday, but some fans were less than thrilled with the fact that he lost to Chris Jericho. Although AJ Styles might not have had a WrestleMania moment this year, but he had a Raw after Mania moment and sometimes that’s just as good.
On this week’s episode of Raw, AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho, Cesaro and Kevin Owens in a fatal 4 way match to become the new number 1 contender for the WWE Championship. Much like his WrestleMania debut, the win was surreal and the weight moment wasn’t lost on AJ Styles in the least. After Raw went off the air WWE cameras captured footage of an emotional Styles as he literally got on his hands and knees and kissed the ring. Check it out in the clip above.
Much like the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the new WWE Women’s Championship will have custom side plates for each champion. WWE released a new video showing Charlotte’s custom side plates being mounted on the strap and you can get a closer look via the clip below.
