Just one day after WWE Crown Jewel there was a missile attack at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh. Heading into the Crown Jewel premium live event there was a lot of concern regarding the safety of the WWE superstars involved with the event.

Following the attack PWInsider is reporting that the WWE roster was long gone before the attack happened. There are still some WWE staff members in the city who are breaking down the arena and production, but there’s been no word on anyone associated with the company being affected by the attack.

According to the report the WWE roster actually flew into the neighboring country of Bahrain, then traveled to Riyadh via bus. Some names were also believed to have traveled directly in and out of Riyadh in private planes, but that was said to be the exception, not the norm.

Crown Jewel was a big show for WWE as Cody Rhodes picked up a win over Randy Orton in the opening match, and Je’Von Evans and Penta went on to capture the WWE World Tag Team Championship when they defeated The Vision in the second match of the night.

The women’s Crown Jewel Championship match featured some big moments as Chelsea Green managed to defeat Liv Morgan to become the women’s Crown Jewel Champion. However, Chelsea’s luck quickly turned around when Tiffany Stratton her hit with the Money in the Bank briefcase then cashed in to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn main evented the show, and Roman showed respect to Sami after he defeated the Honorary Uso.
