WWE stacked the deck for this week’s episode of NXT as the show went head to head with AEW Blood and Guts. Ahead of the show it was announced that Kehlani Jordan would be defending the NXT Women’s Championship against a mystery opponent.
When it was finally time for Kehlani’s mystery opponent to be revealed it was none other than Paige who made her way to challenge Kehlani for the belt. As Paige made her entrance Vic Joseph pointed out that she was the first woman to ever hold the NXT Women’s Championship.
The fans at the WWE Performance Center were much behind Paige as she took the fight to Kehlani Jordan. After a few minutes Kehlani go the upper hand when she hit Paige with a cutter on the floor after Paige went for a baseball slide to the outside.
Paige finally made a comeback and hit the Paige Turner for a two count. Kehlani went to the top for a 450 Splash, but Paige rolled out of the way. She immediately countered with Rampaige on Kehlani and Kehlani kicked out once again.
Kehlani managed to connected with a DDT. She went to the top for the split legged moonsault and Paige got the knees up. She tried for Rampaige one more time and Kehlani rolled Paige up for a three count to retain the title.
