This week’s episode of NXT is set to go head to head with AEW and it’s shaping up to be a big show. John Cena has confirmed that he will be appearing, Cody Rhodes is set for the show, CM Punk will be challenging Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship, and Kehlani Jordan is set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against a mystery opponent.
Ahead of the show PWInsider is reporting that Paige has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center. WWE sources confirmed that Paige was specifically brought in for the show.
It hasn’t been confirmed that Paige will be challenging Kehlani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship, but the timing is interesting to say the least. Paige of course made history back in June of 2013 when she defeated Emma to become the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion.
