WWE Crown Jewel is quickly approaching and the situation in Saudi Arabia is constantly being monitored. Recently there have been multiple attacks at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, and on Sunday the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh issued a security alert ordering non-emergency U.S. government employees and their families to leave Saudi Arabia due to safety risks. Despite the security alert it seems that WWE is still planning to move forward with the original plans for the Crown Jewel location.
Fightful Select is reporting that as of right now the plan is for WWE Crown Jewel to take place in Saudi Arabia. It was noted that there are a number of staff and talent who aren’t happy about the situation at this point. WWE is in constant communication with their hosts in Saudi Arabia ahead of the event.
It was recently reported by the Wrestling Observer that WWE and TKO could potentially lose between $70 million and $90 million dollars if the Crown Jewel premium live event is canceled.
As of this writing Crown Jewel will air live from Saudi Arabia on November 7th and the current card can be seen below.
