To say that there’s been a lot of movement in the wrestling world over the last few years would be an understatement. Numerous wrestlers have parted ways with WWE for various reasons, and quite a few of those wrestlers have returned to the company. Now it seems that another former superstar is once again working with WWE.
PWInsider is reporting that a lot of people assumed Eric Young would be returning to WWE following his departure from TNA Wrestling a few months ago, and those assumptions were correct. Young reportedly started working for WWE as a coach back in July. At this point in time there’s no word on if he will be wrestling for the company in the future.
Eric Young originally signed with WWE in 2016, but he was later released from his contract in April of 2020. He went on to return to the company when he signed a new deal in 2022. However, Eric Young never appeared on WWE programming after signing the new deal as he requested to be released after Vince McMahon returned to the company.
Following his WWE release Eric Young returned to TNA Wrestling for another run with the company. Earlier this year that run came to an end as Young requested to be released from TNA Wrestling back in July. Young last wrestled on 6/28 when he was defeated by Ricky Sosa on the TNA Countdown to Slammiversary.
Stay tuned for updates.
