Back in 2024, MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley reunited in AEW to form The Hurt Syndicate. In the months that followed The Hurt Syndicate was featured as one of the top acts on AEW programming, and Lashley & Benjamin managed to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
In recent weeks The Hurt Syndicate have been absent from AEW TV, and there have been a number of rumors making the rounds on social media claiming that the group refused to put other AEW stars over.
MVP responded to the rumors when he posted the following:
“So I open up Twitter to see lies being reported about The Hurt Syndicate.
BLATANT LIES!!!
Who is the source of these lies?
To the contrary, we wanted to work with younger talent! We wanted to drop the tag titles BACK to Private Party!!!
STOP BELIEVING THE BS!”
“Rumor? Nah man. You are absolutely Wrong!!!! None of this is true. But now I know where this whisper campaign is coming from! 😉”

The Hurt Syndicate have not appeared on AEW TV since August when they appeared on the AEW All In Buy-In pre-show. During the event Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin teamed with Big Boom AJ & QT Marshall to defeat the team of Carlie Bravo, Lee Moriarty, Shane Taylor & Shawn Dean.
Stay tuned for updates.
