It’s going to be a big weekend for wrestling fans as the AEW All Out pay-per-view and WWE Worlds Collide are both set to take place in the Chicago area on Saturday night. While AEW All Out will be available on pay-per-view, it doesn’t appear that WWE has any plans to broadcast Worlds Collide at this point in time.
Talk of the broadcast status for Worlds Collide has picked up recently as John Bradshaw Layfield recently noted that he will be doing commentary at a later date when he said, “I am not gonna be there. We’re gonna call it, I think post-fact, but I’m not gonna be there. They asked me if I’d come in. I said, ‘Absolutely, I’d be happy to.’ But they’re not bringing the announcers in. I told them I’d be happy to come to Chicago, but they changed it. What they told us initially, and this was a few weeks ago, was that we’ll probably voice it over next week some time. They may have changed that since. I don’t know because they haven’t said anything about it since.”
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the speculation within WWE is that Worlds Collide will be released as a special for Club WWE members. However, that has not been confirmed. According to the report the show was originally supposed to be broadcast live. There’s no word on why the change was made.
WWE Worlds Collide will emanate from the from the Allstate Arena, Rosemont, IL on September 26th and the current card can be seen below.
