Years ago WWE signed a deal with Saudi Arabia and since then the company has typically brought at least two big events to the region on an annual basis. The next big WWE show set for Saudi Arabia is Crown Jewel in November.
With the ongoing conflicts in the region, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that several people within WWE who regularly travel to Saudi Arabia have been asking internally if there will be any changes, or a potential rescheduling for the Crown Jewel event which is set for Riyadh on November 7th.
The chatter behind the scenes at WWE HQ in Stamford, CT is said to be of large concern. It was also noted that WWE has yet to formally acknowledge the situation to its staff according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
As of this writing no matches have been announced for the Crown Jewel, but the belief is that the World Heavyweight Champion and Undisputed WWE Champion will face off for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship, while the Women’s World Champion and WWE Women’s Champion will compete in a match for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
