For decades The Undertaker was one of the most dominant wrestlers in all of WWE, but his run as an active competitor officially came to an end when he retired in 2020.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Undertaker was asked if his retirement match would be against Gunther if it happened in 2026. Taker praised The Ring General then went on to name a number of current WWE stars he would’ve liked to have worked with.
“Yeah. I mean, that would be a good one for sure. I like the way he works, and I like the way he takes his time and builds to a crescendo in a match. But there’s guys like Oba out there now, and one of the guys that I think may be the biggest star may be Trick Williams. I love Trick. All those guys I would have loved to have worked with.”
Ultimately The Undertaker wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 36 when he faced off against AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match. It ended up being a cinematic match due to the pandemic, and Undertaker confirmed his retirement months later in November of 2020.
