Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have a lot of history and their heated rivalry has been going on for years now. The two stars stepped into the ring to face off one more in the SummerSlam main event on Sunday, and The Tribal Chief ultimately defeated Seth Rollins to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
During the closing moments of the match Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins exchanged some words, and Roman revealed what he said to Seth during a post-match interview with Jackie Redmond.
“It has always been me and you since FCW, since the Red Rooster was b******g at us. It’s always been the two of us. Even in The Shield, we already knew what it was. We knew Ambrose was a wild hare. We were going to change this place. We are the pioneers of this place. When people were scared and ran off, we held the fort down.”
While Roman and Seth have been at odds for some time it appears that their rivalry may finally be over now. After the match Roman extended his hand for a Shield fist bump, and Rollins joined in which seems to have signaled that they’ve reached a level of mutual respect. Only time will tell what’s next for Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
