Over the last few months a number of NXT stars have been called up and now it seems that another name will be joining the main roster in the near future. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Lola Vice is expected to be called up to SmackDown soon. Alvarez wrote, “It is believed Lola Vice has been called up and will likely be on SmackDown.”
On Saturday night at AAA Verano de Escandalo, Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana dropped the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship to La Hiedra and Laredo Kid after Hiedra pinned Vice.
Currently Lola Vice is set to challenge Kendal Grey for the NXT Women’s Championship on the August 4th episode of NXT when the two stars face off in a NXT Underground match. Vice is currently undefeated in NXT Underground matches, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.
Lola Vice originally signed with WWE in 2022, and went on to earn a guaranteed shot at the NXT Women’s Championship when she won the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament in 2023. She cashed in her title shot at Vengeance Day in February of 2024 when she joined the Roxanne Perez vs. Lyra Valkyria match for the NXT Women’s Championship, but she failed to win the title as Valkyria picked up the victory.
Earlier this year Lola Vice finally captured the NXT Women’s Championship when she picked a win over Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey at NXT Stand & Deliver. However, her reign with the belt came to an end after only 85 days when Grey defeated Lola Vice at NXT Great American Bash.
