Over two dozen wrestlers have been released from the WWE roster this year and a number of free agents recently hit the market as their 90 day non-compete clauses have expired. Now it seems that a former WWE star is ready to establish themselves as a force on the independent circuit.

Zoey Stark, now known as Zoey Serrano officially returned to the ring at the RevPro’s Women’s Grand Prix event on July 25th. The former WWE star competed twice at the event as she took a loss in her match against Zeuxis, but picked up a win over JGU.

This was the first time Zoey had competed in a match since the 5/19/25 episode of Monday Night Raw when she faced off against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Zoey had to be pulled from the match after she attempted a missile dropkick and tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus when she landed awkwardly.

Her five year run with WWE officially came to an end a few months ago when Zoey Serrano was released from her contract back in April. However, she has made it clear that her in-ring career is far from over.
