This week’s episode of NXT featured a big main event as Tony D’Angelo defended the NXT Championship against Naraku in a street fight. D’Angelo and Naraku took each other to the limit, but Tony D’Angelo walked out with the gold when it was all said and done.
Near the end of the match Tony and Naraku were brawling at ringside when Naraku put Tony D’Angelo through the announce table. He then threw D’Angelo back into the ring and tried to spit mist in his eyes, but Tony D’Angelo blocked the mist with his hands.
Tony put his hands on Naraku’s eyes and blinded him with the mist. He then threw Naraku off the steel ring steps that were set up in the ring, put him through a table and pinned Naraku to retain the title.
After the match Tony D’Angelo was celebrating with the title when former TNA Wrestling World Champion Mike Santana walked out through the crowd. Santana made his way down to the barricade and stared D’Angelo down as the show went off the air.
Mike Santana recently finished up with TNA Wrestling and it was recently reported that he was expected to join WWE before the end of the summer. Now it seems that he’s arrived.
